Climate Change, I need acclimation to you
A song for introductory ecology
I write songs for classes I teach. Students seem to enjoy them. And, they end up being a good prompt for concepts that will be taught. Students have also used the songs to recognize how much they learned in the class.
This one is for my Principles of Ecology class (this year 150+ students and I engage with every one of them). It is written over Todd Snider’s “New Connection”
Have fun with it.
A swallowtail is the only organism that makes an appearance in the song. That is because a swallowtail was sitting on the bush on our desk apparently listening and enjoying experiencing me writing the song.

I could follow the drift without knowing all the term, life in a community. Facinating song.
